I graduated from Parsons The New School for Design in 2008. My main subject was always portraiture while I was a student but when I graduated I wanted to take a break from city life so I decided to spend some time in Puerto Rico to reconnect with my roots after leaving as a child. There, I developed a strong connection with the ocean and nature and began to explore the landscapes using my camera as a source of connection. I then began focusing more on landscape and nature photography as well as surfing photography. After 6 years exploring Puerto Rico, especially the beaches, waves, sunsets and waterfalls, I moved back to New York in 2015. I lived in a beach town to keep that connection alive, however the city inspired me to develop a liking toward city aesthetics and cityscapes. So now my work consists of portraiture, family portraits, lifestyle, landscapes and cityscapes. I work mainly with natural light since I’ve gained experience photographing nature and outdoors. Natural light is my favorite light.
